The Beacons Point team is growing once again! If you enjoy digital marketing, helping clients grow and telling a story, then this is the right place for you. We are looking for a few solid people for a variety of positions including Marketing Specialist, Graphic Designer, and Video Editor to join the Beacons Point team as an independent contractor. Each job has it’s own job description and responsibilities but we are looking for people are ready to work hard, but also have a great time while doing it. Marketing Specialist

Beacons Point Inc. is currently looking for a Marketing Specialist to assist a client campaign in email marketing content, mailing list management, social media campaigns and associated digital strategy. The position is an independent contractor position and hours will vary based on workload and applicant skill set. The position will pay an hourly rate of $15-25 based on experience and for 10-15 hours per week and include a mix of in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in digital marketing, sports, outdoors and thrives to always be improving. There may be additional opportunities to expand on the number of hours worked dependent on several factors. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Email marketing content/copy creation
  • Email marketing & database management
  • Social media content and post creation
  • Scheduling and management of social media profiles
  • Consumer research projects
  • Marketing copywriting
  • Marketing design support
  • Project management
  • General marketing tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Enjoys an entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, Adobe Creative Suite, some basic HTML coding experience
  • Experience with MailChimp, Constant Contact, Active Campaign, Hubspot and similar database or CRM platforms
  • Self-directed, organized, reliable
  • Must own a computer

 

Graphic Designer

Beacons Point Inc. is currently looking for a Graphic Designer to assist with various graphic design projects such as social media graphics, infographics, email assets, website designs, brochures and others. The position is an independent contractor position and hours will vary based on workload and applicant skill set. The position will pay an hourly rate of $15-25 based on experience and for 15-20 hours per month and include a mix of in-office and remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in digital marketing, sports, outdoors and thrives to always be improving. There may be additional opportunities to expand on the number of hours worked dependent on several factors. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Email marketing design/layout
  • Social media content and post creation
  • Must be fluent on Adobe Creative Suite
  • Print/Mailer designs
  • Marketing design support
  • Project management
  • General marketing tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Enjoys an entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, Adobe Creative Suite, some basic HTML coding experience

Video Editor

Beacons Point Inc. is currently looking for a Video Editor to assist with various video projects such as online video course edits, social media video, brand promo video. The position is an independent contractor position and hours will vary based on workload and applicant skill set. The position will pay be project based and will be determined on your experience. Candidate must edit on Adobe Premiere and a strong interest in digital marketing, sports, outdoors and thrives to always be improving. There may be additional opportunities to expand on the number of hours worked dependent on several factors. The Video Editor will work directly with our Director of Media and  will be responsible for, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Logging video footage
  • Video outline and layout
  • Full edit and completion of video
  • Sound editing and video coloring
  • Graphics and lower 3rd layout & design
  • Understanding of compressions and exporting
  • General marketing tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Enjoys an entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, Adobe Creative Suite (Must edit on Adobe Premiere)
  • Must have previous video experience
  • Experience with Photoshop, After Affects, and other relevant tools
  • Self-directed, organized, reliable
  • Must own a computer with Adobe Premier

Alex began his career in film and TV as a Producer and Associate Producer for Original Productions. During his time, he worked on several of the company’s most popular programs including Discovery Channel’s show “Deadliest Catch”. After hauling his fair share of Alaskan crab home from filming, he spent time working as the Lead A/V Editor and Assistant Producer for advertising heavyweight TBWA\Chiat\Day. There he was responsible for overseeing content and creative portions of campaigns for the likes of Nissan, Gatorade, Pepsi, and more. When Alex is not working on client work, he’s serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and hanging out with his wife, Mary Beth, and dog, Hank.
